Co-location

Platform & Services
In keeping up with the global trends and in continuation of service excellence, the Exchange is facilitating members and CaaS vendors i.e. Colo Participants, to co-locate their NNF infrastructure at NSE premises. The co-location facility would have the following features:
- Co-location facility shall be used only for CTCL trading on MSE.
- Co-location facility for Phase 1 has 3 variants: Standard 52U Full Rack with 17KVA power, half rack of 25U with 8.5KVA and Quarter rack 12U with 4.2KVA.
- Multicast-based Tick by Tick (TBT) feeds are enabled by default for all racks.
- Time synchronization services (PTP) are available upon request.
- MSE allocates 10 IPs addresses pull for each Full Rack, 05 IPs for Half Rack and 03 IPs for Quarter Rack.
- 5 Ethernet copper cables are provided from the Meet-Me room (MMR) to each rack for connecting their devices to selected internet service providers.
- Participants may perform their own cabling through their representatives / authorized vendors to connect their servers located in different racks in the colocation facility.
- All point-to-point lease lines will be commissioned via the Meet-Me room.
- Participants may use existing Ethernet cables provided by MSE or lay their own cables between MMR room and racks subject to feasibility.
- MSE is not responsible for the quality or latency of connectivity provided by telecom service providers to participants.
- UPS refined power and air conditioning are provided.
- If power consumption exceeds 90%, participants will be notified via email in accordance with the escalation matrix, prompting them to take appropriate action to reduce usage and maintain consumption at or below 90% and will have until the upcoming weekend to take necessary action.
- Only equipment with dual power supply configurations is permitted.
- MSE disclaims liability for outages resulting from single power supply setups.
The Exchange will provision the following resources in the new rack, as per the specifications outlined below:
| Rack Type | Slots / Sockets Available | Power Available | Recommended Max Load |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full (52U) | Vertical, (30) Locking IEC C13, (6) Locking IEC C19 | 17 kVA | Max 80% (13.6 kVA) |
| Half (25U) | Vertical, (18) Locking IEC C13, (6) Locking IEC C19 | 8.5 kVA | Max 80% (6.8 kVA) |
| Quarter (12U) | Horizontal, (10) Locking IEC C13/IEC C19 | 4.2 kVA | Max 80% (3.3 kVA) |
Additionally, the Exchange will provide:
| Ethernet Cables | Uplink Pair (Exchange Connectivity) |
|---|---|
| 4 cables for Full and Half racks, 2 cables for Quarter racks | 1 pair per rack for Exchange connectivity (10G) |
